Bill Hoch Named Professor of the Year

Bill Hoch, Assistant Professor of Horticulture, has been named the 7th annual Professor of the Year by the Horticulture Club. The award is voted on by Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology students. Professor Hoch was presented the award at the College of Agricuture Spring Banquet by Hort Club member Corri Pfeiffenberger.

"I was honored to receive this award after my second year of teaching at MSU.  It means a great deal that this award came from the students.  MSU provides a terrific learning environment and the students are outstanding," Hoch said.

Professor Hoch earned his PhD at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2003 and is interested in physiology and genetic improvement of woody ornamental plants. He teaches PSPP 231 Woody Ornamentals; PSPP 232 Herbaceous Ornamentals; PSPP 425 Horticulture Senior Capstone I; PSPP 426 Horticulture Senior Capstone II; and PSPP 447 Advanced Plant Propagation.
