Objectives: Students will be exposed to many genera and species of
annuals, herbaceous perennials, houseplants, flowering bulbs and aquatic (water
gardening) plants.
1. be able to identify approximately 200
species of annual/herbaceous perennial plants to family, genus and species;
2. possess knowledge of the cultural
requirements of the plants including location in the landscape, care and
flowering periods; and,
3. understand propagative techniques,
requirements and options for annuals and perennials.
